Bobby Jones Hybrids?
They look like well made clubs, has anyone hit them? are they nice? any easier to hit then other hybrids/fairway woods?
Golf clubs are like any other piece of equipment. Not any one works for everyone. Club heads, shafts, grips, offsets, lie angles, etc., make up the near infinite number of possibilities for clubs. Add our body’s differences in hand size, stature, build, swing speeds, spine angles, etc., etc., you can only get one answer: SEE WHAT WORKS FOR YOU.
Good golfers might prefer one brand based on both playability, availabilty and financial benefits/costs, and mid to high HCs of all walks may use the same or different products also based on those same overal contraints.
I will say that I have in fact hit a Bobby Jones 5 wood, (not a Hybrid) at a golf show. VERY nice club, seems to be very well made and has a classic ‘look’. In looking at the fairway woods and the hybrids, I do think the sole shape (more of a V than an iron) should cut through rough better with less twisting off-axis. That is the real difference I see.
