Regular Flx
How do I hook my computer to an HDTV?
I’m trying to hook my computer up to my element FLX-1910 hdtv. It has a standard computer video input (VGA), but when I connect it, the signal is not recognized by the tv. I searched for monitor drivers, like you would for a regular plug and play monitor, but was unable to find anything. Is there some setting I need to change in my computer?
This is for a PC in my office, running Windows XP. I will not be using multiple monitors, only this one, which i can change the video mode from TV to computer.
I’ve hooked up my laptop to my HDTV and i had to change the source of output which on my laptop is:
the “Fn” key (Function Key at the bottom left of keybaord) + “F8″ ( if it’s not F8 then it will be labeled in blue ‘CRT/LCD’).
If you have a desktop, I would connect the VGA cable to your TV and computer and then restart it.
If that doesn’t work try the Display Properties: right click on desktop/Properties/Settings/Change the Display drop down menu to another monitor.
Lastly, I would try changing the input/source on your TV.
