Is there a way of easily measuring what stiffness of shaft you need?
I had a stiff shafted super quad and mostly hit them straight, but the bad shot being a high block. I now have a regular shafted callaway x460 and I still suffer from the same shot. What should I do?
Sounds like a swing issue since it’s the same with both shafts. A shaft that was too stiff would produce a low trajectory and block to the right. If you’re coming in too steep and from the inside it could produce that trajectory.
Did you have your new club fitted? They should have set you up on a launch monitor to test your launch angle and spin rate. The problem is you can’t just assume you need a stiff shaft because of a high swing speed, or a regular shaft because of a slow swing speed. Tempo has a lot to do with it too.
Anyway, take you driver to a club fitter and hit some balls on the launch monitor. If the shaft is the problem you can always get in changed out. My guess is the stiff shaft was a good fit, your swing is just not as consistent as you think.
